This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position working in our Ann Arbor office, reporting to the Director of Sales.

Job Overview: The Enterprise Architect role is a team leader with the primarily responsible for developing technical solutions to meet our customer’s requirements and kicking off the order deployment with the operations team. The job has the opportunity to expand into a broader set of sales responsibilities including managing the commercial aspects of our customer relationships and prospect development.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical solutions to meet prospects’ needs from a broad mix of colocation, multi-tenant cloud, private cloud options, Disaster Recovery and off premise back-up.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to present and demonstrate how solutions meet the prospect’s business and technical requirements
  • Coordinate with Product Marketing and Operations to recommend and position need solutions that the client and prospect base is requesting
  • Work with Product Marketing and Operations to address customer’s technical sales requirements
  • Work with marketing to position Online Tech’s products
  • Manage the sales order hand off to operations to assure a successful deployment to assure the customers’ expectations have been met
  • Lead the pre-sales engineers in developing and positioning solutions in support of sales
  • Other duties as required to assist the Online Tech team in achieving its sales objectives

Required Skills and Background:

  • At least 10 years technical experience in deployment of EMC, VMware, back-up technology, servers, networking, and hosting and four year technical degree or a four year degree and experience in the IT industry
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • A strong desire to learn new sales skills and work with people
  • Self motivator with strong work ethic with a “can-do” positive attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office skills, Visio, contact databases, phone skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work as in a team environment
  • Desire to be a part of the fast-paced, high-energy entrepreneurial experience

Job Overview: The Data Center Technician is responsible for supporting the Mid-Michigan data center for Online Tech and it’s clients.  The ideal candidate has broad interest in IT as a whole, from the data center floor through the network and server infrastructure.  He/she is a self-starter able to keep organized multiple initiatives from managing vendors to deploying new customers to ensuring the daily operational tasks are completed on time.  The candidate is a hard worker, has a need for an organized world, and wants a strong role in building and operating data centers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the operation and day-to-day management of tasks for Online Tech’s Mid-Michigan Data Center
  • Responsible for managing vendors on site to complete maintenance, repairs, deployments, turn up, etc.
  • Responsible for daily walkthroughs and monitoring all systems in the facility
  • Provide smart-hands remote support for our clients and OT staff
  • Assist in maintaining 100% critical system uptime for the OT Data Centers
  • Work with the Network Operations Center, Deployment Engineers, and Data Center Operations team to provide assistance in investigating alarms, troubleshooting issues, and deploying new clients
  • Responsible for coordinating and managing vendors for the installation of power, network, rack, and cage as well as rack-and-stack of equipment for client deployments
  • Communicate effectively with Online Tech operations staff, project team members, 3rd party consultants and clients.
  • Suggest improvements to existing processes to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned 

Required Skills and Background:

  • Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a role wearing many different hats and/or managing many different threads
  • Enthusiasm for technology, organization, and creating exceptional experiences for customers
  • An understanding of electrical and mechanical systems (e.g. UPS, PDU, CRAC)
  • An understanding of IT network, server, and service vocabulary (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, AD, SNMP, VPN, PDU, UPS)
  • Driven individual – a very strong desire to learn;
  • Technology related certifications and education are a plus;
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, PCI, and/or Safe Harbor a plus
  • Ability to lift 40+ pounds;
  • Able to travel locally to support Online Tech’s other data centers

  • Responsible for the operation and day-to-day management of tasks for Online Tech's Indianapolis Data Center
  • Responsible for managing vendors on site to complete maintenance, repairs, deployments, turn up, etc.
  • Responsible for daily walkthroughs and monitoring all systems in the Indianapolis facility
  • Provide smart-hands remote support for our clients and OT staff
  • Assist in maintaining 100% critical system uptime for the OT Indianapolis Data Center
  • Work with the OT Network and Systems Administrators, Network Operations Center, Deployment Engineers and Data Center Operations teams to provide remote assistance in investigating alarms, troubleshooting issues and deploying new clients
  • Responsible for on site deployment of new clients into the facility including managing vendors for installation of power, network, rack and cage as well as rack-and-stack equipment
  • Communicate effectively with Online Tech operations staff, project team members, 3rd party consultants and clients
  • Suggest improvements to existing processes to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a role wearing many hats and/or managing responsibilities for many different disciplines
  • Enthusiasm for technology, organization and creating exceptional experiences for customers
  • Fundamental understanding of data center infrastructure including electrical and mechanical
  • Experience with Windows, Cisco, VMWare preferred; Linux, EMC, a plus; with a desire to learn required
